Pycnogenol®
Pycnogenol is a natural plant extract from the bark of the maritime pine tree, which grows exclusively along the coast of southwest France in Les Landes de Gascogne. The extract has three basic properties-it is a powerful antioxidant, selectively binds to collagen and elastin, and promotes the production of endothelial nitric oxide, which supports normal vasodilation of blood vessels. More than 200 scientific articles and clinical trials have confirmed Pycnogenol's safety, absence of toxicity and clinical efficacy over the past 35 years. Today, Pycnogenol is one of the most researched ingredients in the natural product marketplace.
Resveratrol
Resveratrol is an ingredient that can be naturally found in the skin of red grapes and has been studied for its potential cardiovascular and cellular benefits. Resveravine® , a concentrated extract containing resveratrol, helps ensure that the body receives all of the benefits of resveratrol.
Induces apoptosis in unhealthy cells
Promotes healthy cell cycle activity
Provides antioxidant protection against oxidation in LDL particles
Promotes normal SIRT-1 gene activity.
Açai
Isotonix Açai Advanced Energy is derived from the berries of the açai palm of the Amazon rainforest. Isotonix Açai combines vitamins, guarana and taurine with the antioxidant properties of green tea, açai berries, mangosteen and pomegranate. Research indicates that the açai berry:
Has protein content similar to an egg.4
Contains more than 16 powerful phytonutrients and antioxidants-more than any other known fruit or vegetable.4
Provides an almost perfect amino acid complex-vital for proper muscle development and regeneration.4

Coenzyme Q10*
Coenzyme Q10 is a water-insoluble, wax-like substance that is part of the respiratory chain. In our cells, it helps to generate energy from oxygen, in the form of ATP, for the body. CoQ10 also exhibits activity as a free radical scavenger and an antioxidant.
Helps maintain normal blood pressure
Provides antioxidant protection for the cardiovascular system
Promotes ATP production and supports muscle endurance
Helps maintain healthy blood sugar levels
Lutein*
Lutein is an organic pigment found in a small area of the retina responsible for central vision. According to recent research, lutein helps protect from oxidative stress and the high-energy photons of blue light. Various research studies have shown that a direct relationship exists between lutein intake and pigmentation in the eye.
Promotes healthy vision
Helps maintain healthy macular density
Supports night vision
Nourishes eye tissue and supports healthy eye circulation
Glucosamine
Glucosamine is a molecule that is naturally synthesized in the body from glucose and the amino acid glutamine. Glucosamine is an important constituent of glycosaminoglycans in cartilage matrix and synovial fluid. As our bodies age, we are less able to produce glucosamine, resulting in cartilage that is less flexible and weak. Although the mechanism is currently unclear, studies have shown that glucosamine supplementation can support normal, healthy cartilage cell production to help maintain overall joint health.
Promotes normal cartilage synthesis and regeneration
Helps maintain joint comfort
Helps maintain healthy joint fluidity and flexibility
Bromelain
As a mixture of proteases, bromelain has been used by Europeans for many years for its support of normal inflammatory response. Its components work to help support the body’s normal inflammatory response and support the healing process. This is important for healthy joint function and adequate tissue repair, which supports the body’s normal recovery process. Because these proteases can interfere with parts of the inflammatory cascade, supplementation may help to promote normal recovery after intense exercise.
Bromelain has been extensively studied both in experimental models and clinical studies for its effects on the inflammatory response. Research also shows that bromelain may help support healthy blood viscosity and blood platelet aggregation, promoting healthy circulation. It also supports normal levels of fibrin in the blood, which promotes normal healing.

Wellmune
Wellmune is a natural yeast beta glucan derived from a proprietary strain of yeast, Saccharomyces cerevisiae. Wellmune works to support immune cells, which are part of the body’s natural defenses. When Wellmune is ingested, immune cells in the gastrointestinal tract take it up and transport it to the immune organs throughout the body. While there, immune cells, called macrophages, digest the Wellmune into smaller fragments and slowly release them over a number of days. As they are released, the fragments bind to specific receptors (CR3) on neutrophils, which are the most abundant immune cells in the body. Wellmune supports the activity of the neutrophils and prime them for their normal activity in the body, including promoting immune health. It also supports the activity of phagocytic cells, which engulf and destroy foreign bodies, thus promoting immune health. Clinical studies have shown that Wellmune promotes a healthy immune system. The molecular structure of Wellmune WGP, with its beta 1,3/1,6 branch points, is responsible for its unique biological activity.

BCAA's
Branched chain amino acids (BCAA) are considered essential, as they cannot be synthesized by the human body and, therefore, must be consumed through diet or supplementation. Unlike other amino acids, BCAA are used primarily by skeletal muscle, making up 30-35 percent of the muscle tissue itself. These amino acids promote healthy muscle growth and retention. As aging occurs, the body’s ability to build and retain muscle tissue or size is reduced, which can result in weakness and frailty. Research has shown that supplementation with BCAA promotes muscle retention in older adults. Additionally, it has been shown that supplementation of BCAA during exercise supports muscle protein synthesis and inhibits protein catabolism (breakdown) and muscle fatigue. By using instantized BCAAs within the isotonic system, there is a quicker dissolution and increased bioavailability.

Folate
Folic acid is mainly found in fruits and vegetables. Dark leafy greens, oranges, orange juice, beans and peas are the best sources as well as Brewer’s yeast, which supplies additional B-vitamins. Folic acid plays a key role by boosting the benefits of vitamin B12 supplementation. These two B-vitamins join forces and work together in maintaining normal red blood cells. Folic acid assists in the normal utilization of amino acids and proteins as well as promoting the normal construction of the material for DNA and RNA synthesis. Scientific studies have found that when working in tandem with folic acid, vitamin B12 is capable of promoting a healthy cardiovascular and nervous system.
Quatrefolic is the glucosamine salt of (6S)-5-methyltetrahydrofolate, the most active form of folate, as it is structurally analogous to the reduced and active form of folic acid. Because this form is naturally present in the body, it is much more bioavailable for its biological action without having to be metabolized in the body. This patented ingredient also provides greater stability and higher water solubility, perfect for Isotonix.
